Who is Avenue De Saxe? – Creative & Graphic Designer | Rachel

Rachel, tell us about your role

My role is primarily creative. From branding concepts to print to web, I’m all about the look and feel. When I first started at Avenue De Saxe I only worked on front end design, but now I LOVE web and the more technical side of things.

What is your greatest travel memory?

On our recent trip to Europe, we visited a small French town where we met a local winemaker named Sylvan. He didn’t have a cellar door or anything but invited us down into his wine cellar for a private tasting. It was the kind of romanticised experience you would hope to have in France, it was really special.

How do you recharge?

Curling up in bed with my laptop, a good show to binge watch and my giant greyhound Presley / Gardening / Exeter hangs with the girls/barre class/date nights in the city / and of course 🍷🍷🍷

What characteristic do you most admire in others?

I’m quite emotional and worry a lot. I really admire people that don’t let their circumstances get the better of them. Definitely, something I’m working on.

What was your first job?

Washing dogs at my mom’s dog grooming shop 🐶

What are you reading at the moment?

An old book I loved in college, The Brothers K

What are you listening to at the moment?

Robyn’s new album – it’s a fun summer one!

What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to?

New York City will always be a really special spot for me. It was the first trip my husband and I took together when we first started dating. It’s also where we got engaged. I love that you can never have the same New York City trip, it’s always a new experience.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

My mom says “Follow the peace.” I always reflect on that when I’m making a big decision.

What’s your favourite food?

Anything with mushrooms, scallops and nachos!

What’s on your bucket list?

Owning rescue farm animals / a girls trip overseas when we are all in our 60s

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?

Bahamas and Jonsi
