Who is Avenue De Saxe? – Content Producer | Lauren Wells-Jones

Lauren, tell us about your role

My role at Avenue De Saxe is hard to define! In short, I am tasked with producing digital and visual content across various mediums for both Avenue De Saxe and our clients. As we create websites, build great brands and design visual assets I find myself using my technical and creative mind daily.

The average day at work often consists of me making website updates for clients, editing videos, retouching photos and designing content. Additionally, I know a thing or two about how Google works and will often be found optimising websites and analysing data looking for ways to improve our SEO.

What is your greatest travel memory?

It’s hard to pinpoint a specific memory as I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite a bit in my 25 years on earth, however, I recently travelled to Lapland and where I slept under the Northern Lights. You could say that was the greatest…so far.

How do you recharge?

I am an introvert at heart and do my best recharging on my own. This may involve going out for coffee with my miniature dachshund Penny or listening to a podcast.

What characteristic do you most admire in others?

I admire individuals who are authentic and genuine. I feel I am a great judge of character and read people’s emotions very well.

What was your first job?

My first job was at the Cheesecake Shop. This job paid for two trips to New Zealand throughout high school and taught me how to work autonomously. I am now blessed with the knowledge of telling the difference between a continental or baked cheesecake.

What are you reading at the moment?

I just finished reading Abbi Jacobson’s I Might Regret This, which was an emotional, humorous and entertaining road trip of a book.

What are you listening to at the moment?

I recently bought a new car and in the process have been working on my Spotify playlists. You can check out everything I’ve been enjoying on my New Car Smell playlist.

What is your most used emoji?

To be honest after auditing my emoji use over the course of a week the culprit is 😅 emoji which accurately reflects my awkward and hopefully sometimes funny sense of humour.

What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?

I grew up loving horror films and through some hard work found myself working on The Babadook at 19 years old. It was a great feeling to have a credit as an Assistant Director on a local production that became a modern classic in its genre.

What are you interested in that people might not have heard of?

I follow the specialty coffee industry closely and enjoy scoping out new coffee haunts around the world. I often have friends asking me for recommendations when they go travelling. It is my goal to start an online resource that will share this knowledge in the form of guides or reviews. I’ve started building out my website as a starting point.
