In the latter half of 2020, Avenue De Saxe travelled to Whyalla on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia to produce a video for Hincks Avenue Primary School.

Traditionally a mining town producing iron ore and steel, the school and the community face a unique set of challenges and the goal of this production was to showcase the progressive and important work the school is doing in educating the next generation and building a better community.

At Hincks Avenue, students are educated in a safe, supportive environment by highly committed and passionate staff. The team at Hincks have a strong focus on literacy, numeracy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) across their curriculum. In addition, teachers support students to grow with a positive mindset (Growth Mindset) and take personal and social responsibility (TPSR).

Across the four and half minute ‘micro-documentary’ we hear from a number of key staff outlining the school’s philosophies and achievements. Since launching the video has received considerable attention across the community.
